The Story.

GolfOptimise was born from my passion for golf and my deep fascination with analytics. My journey started during my golf scholarship at the University of St Andrews, where I was introduced to the power of a 'Moneyball' approach—leveraging detailed analytics to gain a competitive edge. The university generously funded our subscriptions to an analytics platform, which provided incredible insights benchmarked against PGA Tour averages. However, this came at a significant cost, typically hundreds of pounds per year.

When I graduated, I faced the harsh reality of no longer having access to this valuable tool due to its high cost. Determined to continue improving my game without breaking the bank, I decided to use my coding skills to develop my own simplified analytics dashboard. Since early 2023, I've relied exclusively on this platform. The insights I gained from my custom analytics not only elevated my game but directly contributed to my proudest golfing achievements - winning my first Club Championship in June 2024 and reaching a County Championship Final shortly thereafter.

Recently, I've enhanced GolfOptimise, significantly improving the user interface and deepening the analytical insights, making it accessible and beneficial to golfers of all skill levels. My goal is clear: I want every golfer to experience the power of turning their on-course performance into actionable insights, without the steep costs typically associated with such powerful tools.

I've intentionally priced GolfOptimise very affordably, essentially just covering website hosting expenses. This ensures that golfers everywhere can access high-quality performance analytics and genuinely improve their game without spending countless hours aimlessly hitting balls at the driving range.
